Making URL’s Short Enough for Twitter

Micro-blogging on Twitter allows the user a maximum of 140 characters (spaces included) for each post.  That requires succinct content and very little room for a long URL link. To remedy this situation, copy that long URL from the page you wish to link, and use one of the following, free, URL shortening services:

Once the site generates your alias, shortened URL copy the complete smallet URL into your Twitter text box (just don’t exceed the 140 character limit).
