Participants in the intensive NABJ Nashville Media Institute were exposed to a wealth of ideas, new media concepts, and an ever evolving world of blogging. Dr. Sybril Bennett, Executive Director of the New Century Journalism Program at Belmont University, hosted the event. The Freedom Forum in Nashville, Tennessee provided excellent facilities for the two day workshop.

NABJ Nashville Media Institute Blog Posts

Following Rick Hancock’s opening presentation on Entrepreneurial Journalism, the NABJ Nashville Media Institute blog was created by Paul Chenoweth as one possible option of merging a blog and an e-commerce solution into one package…just how such a combination could/should work for journalists is food for thought. WordPress users would find the format of WordPress MU (Multi User) very familiar.

A number of new blogs were launched during the lab sessions at the institute. All seem to agree that this is a learning process and that every newly launched blog will require some attention. The RSS feeds in the right-hand sidebar of this page link to the blogs and posts of the participants and leaders of the NABJ Nashville Media Institute.
